“The Unified New Turkic Alphabet” (1928)

I found this chart while learning about the Latin alphabet reform introduced in Turkey under Atatürk. It helps visualize how the Turkish writing system shifted from the Arabic script to a Latin-based alphabet.

What stood out to me is that this idea actually goes back further than Atatürk- it was first discussed by the Young Turks almost 70 years earlier, but it wasn’t fully implemented until the 1928 reform. I can only imagine how divisive the language reform must have been for generations before and after.
