So, two years ago, I had gone to Scotland and Northern Ireland and Ireland for a personal trip. When my group arrived in Belfast, we toured around the city and got a bus tour of Belfast and its history. We drove by Belfast’s Peace Wall. The Peace Wall was built in the late 1960’s due to the conflict between Catholic Nationalists who identify themselves as ‘Irish’, vs Protestant Unionist who identify themselves as ‘British”. After the signage of the Good Friday Agreement in 1998, all fighting fizzled out. The walls were going to be taken down, but after complaints from the civilians around the area, the walls have stayed there and will most likely remain there. The walls have become a good place for political artwork. Which is what my post is about.

These are some works of art I saw, two years ago on the walls. I thought it might be good to add onto here, since the work is about Palestine [Gaza], and the war and its harm. (Caitlyn Edwards)
