Here is an image of Ataturk dress as a Janissary soldier. The story behind it is he wore the outfit to a costume party where someone snagged a photo. The Janissaries were abolished and destroyed in the 1826 Auspicious Event. Ataturk, no doubt, regretted dressing in such a pro-Ottoman outfit. The image remains quite popular on search engines under the term janissary.
