This is a link to a wikipedia entry detailing the military career of Mustafa Kemal. Also, there are many good print citations at the bottom of the page which would provide some good reading on Atatürk.

This is a site set up by the Australian War Memorial which provides a section on Mustafa Kemal and his involvement at Gallipoli. The site also provides a great deal of information on the Battle itself. Due to the respect that Australia and Turkey have for each other post World War I, largely due to the Battle of Gallipoli, it is not surprising that they provide a look at some of the leading Ottoman figures of the Gallipoli campaign-Mustafa Kemal.

“Those heroes that shed their blood and lost their lives…
You are now living in the soil of a friendly country. Therefore rest in peace. There is no difference between the Johnnies and the Mehmets to us where they lie side by side here in this country of ours…
You, the mothers, who sent their sons from faraway countries wipe away your tears; your sons are now lying in our bosom and are in peace, after having lost their lives on this land they have become our sons as well.”
Ataturk, 1934
