On April , Turkish citizens will vote in a referendum on whether the powers of the president are extended, abolishing the position of Prime Minister, which the current president, Recep Tayyip Erdogan argues will benefit the country.  The referendum will dissolve the position of Prime Minister and the presidency will absorb his duties, as well as introducing the position of Vice President.  This can be interpreted as an action to somewhat better handle crisis situations, streamlining and cutting the judiciary branch, and expanding the legislative branch.
